Opening a zipped attachment

My wife recently received an e-mail attachment in .zip format. Since I no longer have a program to unzip files I presumed that I couldn't open it. My wife downloaded the file. When I double clicked on it I saw 3 .doc files and a .pdf file. Windows XP had done the unzipping for me!
