Remove formatting
Higher grade word processing programs preserve (or translate) formatting during cut and paste. This can be annoying, particularly when translation inflates formatting. For example cutting from Microsoft Word and pasting to WordPerfect creates large, awkward files. Pasting into Notepad and then cutting and pasting from notepad removes formatting.
