Format flash drive - ntfs
One reason for purchasing large capacity flash drives is to handle large files. Surprisingly such drives are FAT32 formatted and won't handle files bigger than 4GB. The drive menu doesn't offer NTFS formatting. Internet advice says click on the "policies" tab. My flash drive (l:) shows no "policies" tab.
From the command line I ran "convert"
convert l: /fs:ntsf
This command found disk errors and did not convert
To convert I had to run:
chkdsk l: /f
After chkdsk "convert" ran properly
