Delete Dropper.Inor
Delete Dropper.Inorand the task manager after reinstallation. You may have to redelete files such as wuauclt.exeDropper.Inor is a trojan that AVG detects, but doesn't delete. I deleted most of the files containing Dropper (found with "search" and deleted in safe mode), but one remained in system restore. Online advice was as follows:How to remove a virus in the Windows XP System Restore folders:1. Right click My Computer, select Properties.How to re-enable Windows XP System Restore:
2. Select the System Restore tab.
3. Select Turn off System Restore on all drives, a checkmark appears in the option.
4. Click Apply, and select Yes when a dialog box appears.
The drive status will change to Turned Off.
This will delete all the files including any virus in the System Restore folders.
5. Run AVG and scan the whole system for viruses.1.Right click My Computer, select Properties.The Trojan had inactivated my system restore preventing me from following the above advice. Reinstalling Windows XP soved the problem. Don't forget to back up critical files before you reinstall. Check startup programs (msconfig)

4. Click Apply. The drive status will change to Monitoring.
